These are ancient Chinese coins from the Tang dynasty made from pure...bootlegging. But these people are just trying to make a living. If a tourist happily walks away with a bag of coins, and the seller walks home to a hot meal, then both parties are happy.

Great processing Michael. Its a fine detail shot (that sounds strange with so many subjects in frame I know, but you know what Im saying). Its nice to see the craftmanship, bootlegged or not. Well lit also, what was the light source exactly?

@Duncan Galbraith: The lighting was natural in the afternoon. Natural lighting in the afternoon is usually soft compared to the harsh noon light.
Interesting shot, I really like it. Simple but impressive.
