About Michael Zhang
Welcome to my photoblog! My name is Michael, and I’m a student at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. When I’m not bogged down with homework, I enjoy going out with my camera to take photographs. I’ve found photography to be both relaxing and useful for teasing out my creative side that’s surely been dulled by academia. There’s something magical about seeing the world through a camera lens, and I often wish my own eyes were an 18-200mm zoom instead of a lousy 50mm prime. I strongly believe that with the right composition and lighting, anything can be a photograph, no matter how unpleasant the subject may be. It just takes creativity coupled with some knowledge of photography basics such as lighting, exposure, and aperture/shutter effects. In short: anything can be a photo. So go take it!
